Press Release - Sutton Releases “State of the Race” Report with Fundraising and Polling Updates

SIOUX FALLS – Senator Billie Sutton’s campaign for South Dakota Governor today released “State of the Race,” a report providing an update on the campaign and Sutton’s path to victory in November. New information in the update includes polling insights, fundraising milestones, and metrics gauging Sutton’s strong grassroots support across the state.

The report demonstrates Sutton’s strong position in this election, including having raised over $1 million from over 6,000 donations and having support from donors in 80% of South Dakota’s towns. Over 1,000 people have signed up to volunteer for the campaign, and early polling shows Sutton’s strong favorability, name recognition, and ability to pull ahead of his opponents when Sutton’s biography and message are presented.

“My values and South Dakota story resonate with South Dakotans across the state. South Dakota is full of hard-working, trustworthy folks who have overcome their own struggles to achieve their South Dakota dream. The early successes of my campaign show that voters are ready for a candidate that’s as tough, hardworking, and honest as they are,” Sutton said.
